Second in command

This is Marmalade, she is 7 years old, very placid and tolerates most things.

wpid-20151121_155038.jpgIn the mornings, she’s the last to surface and will look down on the flock. She chats away to them and will fly down in her own time. She was until a month ago with Queenie a lady you could rely on for laying eggs. However I think they have both reached retirement now and take every day in a more relaxed mode.

Marmalade is lovely with any new hens joining the group and you can guarantee she’ll chat to them whilst the others push them aside. She settles them in as she has such a calming nature.

Everyone loves Marmalade.
